Banking & ATMs

High-Performance Input Devices for Maximum Security

As digital payments grow, ATMs remain one of the most frequently used self-service touchpoints in the financial sector. For many banking customers, the ATM is still the fastest and most reliable way to access cash. According to the Deutsche Bundesbank (2023), around 51% of all payment transactions in Germany are still made in cash—a clear sign that ATMs continue to play a vital role in customer service and cash accessibility.

To ensure consistent performance in these high-demand environments, Printec-DS develops vandal-proof ATM keyboards and stainless steel numeric keypads engineered specifically for banking and financial applications. Our input devices are designed for high durability, precise operation, and resistance to weather, misuse, and tampering, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor ATM terminals.

With their exceptional longevity and low maintenance requirements, Printec ATM keypads help operators reduce downtime, lower service costs, and achieve full ROI within just 1–2 years. This ensures reliable operation and long-term cost efficiency across your ATM network.

Customized HMI for Banking

Braille keyboards made of stainless steel

As a barrier-free solution, we developed a frame for an ATM machine with Braille characters laser-engraved into the buttons. These keyboards enhance accessibility and allow blind users to interact with technology more effectively ensuring that individuals with visual impairments can access their financial resources independently. The raised dots on function and number keys aid in navigation, while voice prompts further guide users, ensuring error-free transactions.

Thanks to our rapid prototyping process, we were able to ensure that the customised solution, including the housing, was perfectly tailored to the end device of our customer. Although Braille keyboards have existed since the early 20th century, accessible keyboards are still often in short supply in public places. The high cost of high-quality keyboards is often cited as the reason for this. We have therefore set ourselves the goal of developing a product that is high-quality in terms of both feel and durability, in order to guarantee your ROI and enable visually impaired people to participate more fully and become more independent.

Rapid prototyping through 3D scanning enables physical objects to be quickly captured as 3D data, which is then converted into realistic models using 3D printing.  This allows us to simplify and accelerate the design process when it comes to integrating input solutions into an existing system.
